Frenchbuilt

Good morning

Just picked this one up in Paris yesterday.

Was looking for a bent tube CML and Velorama proposed me this frame.

Interesting CLM bike which I have never seen before.

Has some very Delta like features and looks to be a factory built proto?

Paint and stickers seem factory original.

Bike looks to have been used quite a bit

The early wheels are my addition. I was told that frame came with a rear Mavic brake still attached along with a Mavic front derailleur. I added some ssc brakes and seat just to see how the bike sits.

The seat post is a modified Shimano aero post with a internal sliding fixation for locking to the hex seatpost bolt.

All tubes are profiled with internal cables.

Reinforcements are very Delta like with cut outs in the head tube.

Bottom bracket is boxed in and made up of brazed up contoured plates.

Fork crown is special aero shape as are the rear stay fixation blocks.

Graphics puts it in the middle '90's Nobody in Paris could tell me anything about the history and these guys know bikes very very well.

Any ideas on this one?

dan, that is one really nice bike you got there. i have never seen a gitane like that one. i have a bent tube (funny bike in that color, but nothing like that.
