Hi everyone,
Nobody is interested in my very nice Gitane TDF here in France so I am proposing it for sale in the US. I am coming to California on the 27th of May (San Francisco Bay Area) and can bring the bike with me as extra Baggage for 60 euros. This is in a bike box and very well wrapped and all tubes protected etc..
In France I was asking 300 euros for the bike so the total would be 360 euros or with todays conversion, 360euros = 508 dollars.
Now this may be too expensive for anybody but I am at least offering the service.
The bike is my all original orange 1976 TDF which as I mentioned in other posts was almost never ridden and in storage for 30 some years.
I completely overhauled the bike changed nothing except the grease, chaine (have original chain if want) and added new tires.
There are only very minor scratches and some areas of chrome that has
come off. Just very small local areas. The chrome spokes are fine but several have areas of slight corrosion. Nothing that ruins the overall look.
The bike rides as new and needs nothing. Even has original and working Gitane Pump. 57 cm frame size.
More photos if interested.
I also have the same offer available for my beautiful 1985 Peugeot
PSN10 T . Once again almost brand new with minor scratching.
Bike never rebuilt and needs nothing. 52cm frame size. All Super Vitus
Modolo brakes etc. Very light bike. Same price or 508 dollars.
I can only take one bike with me to CA.
Sunnyvale CA. pick up only.
Thanks, Dan
And more photos if interested

I checked the Air France site and they want 200 euros for just a normal tandem.

Dan,
Greetings,
Is that TdF red or deep orange?
Is it Reynolds throughout or just "3 TUBES RENFORCES"?
Also, what size is the frame measured from C to T?
BTW, The new price is about $438 USD.
See you in a few weeks, Chas. |

Hi chas,
57 cm from crank center to the TOP of top tube or 58 cm to top of
seatpost tube at the highest point on the lug.
The bike is ORANGE.
Reynolds throughout
Photo taken before clean up last year.
As you can see, there is some spots on the paint near the lugs from sitting so long.
But, nothing at all serious.
See you, Dan |
