My rides this week :
Monday : Modane - l'Alpe d'Huez, 110km through le Télégraphe, le Galibier and l'Alpe d'Huez
Wednesday : le Ventoux, by Sault
Saturday : off to see the Tour in the Pyrénées, after climbing all the way to the top of the Col d'Agnes...

Ok...now my show-offness has been punished.
One thing I learned yesterday : with the level of training and commitment I am willing to give to training and diet, I CAN'T compete on this level.
The "camion balai" picked me up with 4km to go...
I have no excuse, this is just something I can't do. Nevertheless, I've had great fun in the descent (closed roads-no cars-yiiipeeeee !) and discovered some beautiful spots.
So now the program for the rest of the week looks like : rest, sleep, lie down & watch TV ! |
