Still working on a 600 rebuild, when I bought the thing it was missing the seat post. Any have an idea as to the what size it may be? The smallest I've found laying around was a 25.4 and it was still too big. Also, does anyone know where one can pick a pair of metric pedals?

Thanks

Gitanes usually used 25mm or 25.8mm.

25mm seatposts are reasonably common because the were used on early aluminum and carbon fiber frames.

Here's listed on eBay from a seller in the UK. He wants ~$22.50 USD plus reasonable shipping:

I think that I have some NOS (New Old Stock) Lyotard 36 "rat trap" metric pedals plus matching toeclips. I'll PM (private meassage) you if I do.
