Hello Just bought this one:
Fully Chromed, only one bottle holder, birthday frame number first week
march 1983 - 3 days away from my other Team Pro

The Brothers

It is really really time to finish them.
Why are the team pros different?

Best wishes from the old europe

If I could throw something at you I would. Seriously jealous here - that's a nice collection.

I would agree you need to build them now.

Nice spread of bikes you have there. Cool

In 1984 there were 2 flavors of Team Pros, The Team Pro replica and the real Team Pro,

How to tell the difference? I don't know??? Confused

I suspect that there weren't that many REAL Team Pros available. That's not to look down on the replicas...

The one you posted looks like a 1983 Team Pro that Fignon rode. There's a single Gitane seat tube decal down the front of the seat tube.

The 1984 Team Pros had seat tube decals down both sides of the seat tubes.

They also had a band style front derailleur rather than the Simplex/Spidel proprietary clamp on mount.

I have what I think is a real 1984 Team Pro frame that I traded for a few years ago. I suspect that it's made of Columbus KL tubing rather than SL. The frame weighs about 200g less than comparable Columbus SL frames.

Hello,
thanks a lot for your gratulation.
I dont know what i do but i just find the better ones either
with other brands (with the gitane i bought a cnc special 1964
with stronglight super competition and first record series).

The thing with the 2 1983 team pros is that they are different.
The 54 is complete chromed and has only one bottle holder but
in the catalog and in the race pictures like fignon they had
2 Bottle holders.

And i still need the Decals for the profile and the 57 team pro,
the australian did not answer for a team pro bubble decal and
the contact of trois tubes did not answer too - for profie and 83.

May be i have to check to do them myself.

Trois tubes your SC is very nice and the price is good so i dont
understand why you sell it.

Best wishes and greetings

I still

And trois tubes i love you for your scans.
The profile is a july 1981 RS with Dura Ace EX but with Campy Record
Aero brake levers for inside routing and smaler levers, maybe special
build from or for gitane - no campy signs either the seatpost is a
campy record made to aero and without signs.

I will be really interested how the record parts in the gitane aero
version looks like on a RC modell.
