I saw that same bike on eBay USA - That was one sadly neglected bike. 
IMO the price is ridiculous given the condition, but to his credit, the seller is very forthcoming in his description. |

The bike is an old Gran Sport with Royal Asport decals.
Gitane made a few bikes with the Royal Asport brand name for the US market during the bike boom.
They could have both Gitane dealers selling their full line of bikes plus Royal Asport for places like hardware stores to sell. |
