I bought this bike years ago at a garage sale and rode it for awhile then put it away. I recently started to clean out my garage and put the bike for sale on Craigslist for $20.00 Within minutes I had received 4 emails saying that they'd take it. That made me wonder just what exactly I had here. Can anyone tell me what a good price to sell this bike would be? I've looked the bike over and have noted the following information;

I think I paid $25 for this bike 9 years ago. Is this a desirable collector bike? What's it's fair market value today? Any help would be appreciated.

The Gitane 600 had the same frame as the entry level Gran Sport Deluxe. It was equipped with first generation Shimano 600 components plus other Japanese parts.

It was most likely a US only model and may have been assembled here from a pre-painted bare frame by Gitane Pacific down in Southern California.

These were available in 1976 and maybe 1977.

Not much of a collector bike. Today's value $50 to $125.
