So I had a falling out with the front derailleur on my Criterium this evening. I sheared the screw off so I'm going to guess it's a part piece at best? And since the screw is riveted into the body of the actual derailleur, I'm going to bet it cant be repaired.
It is one of the Hinault versions (not sure how common or rare they are) so while I'm looking online for a replacement, is there anything out there that I can throw on that will work?
Anyone have a replacement that you'd like to part with? |

I'm doubtful that anything can be done, but here are the pics anyway. I'm pointing to the bolt in the first pic. The front of the clamp closes over it and the nut is the "loose" part (unlike some of the other derailleurs I've dealt with where the actual bolt is loose).
The third picture is the rivet directly behind it. I'm pretty sure that this is the mounting point.
So I'm finding that derailleurs with 28mm clamps are not nearly as plentiful as 28.6 or larger... can anyone suggest model(s) that I can look for specifically? Or is there a way around putting a shim or something to make the 28.6mm clamp work?
Thanks!
