I have a vintage gitane that I'm looking to sell. I believe that it's a red 1976 Gran Sport Luxe. Can anyone confirm that for me? Also, what value might this bike have? It's been recently tuned and is in pretty good condition.

Looks like about a 1976 Gran Sport or Gran Sport DeLuxe.
The Shimano rear derailleur is probably a replacement for the original Simplex Prestige.
One suggestion, question, ???
Many people post pictures of the left side of their bikes....
The right side has all of the gears that make it go and is more important in determining the the model and so forth.
I don't know if it's because most people get on their bikes from the left side...
Or if many people are intimidated by all of the dirty messy gears and so on...
Or it's just plain modesty! 
Anyway, I've threatened to start making modesty skirts for the right side on bicycles to spare their owners from embarrassing moments! 
Modesty skirts for dogs...
