This showed up on the Austin CL. I didn't spot it till last night but as the title claims it is supposed to be a 58cm 531 French frame and the seller used the term Royal Asport.
In 1971 as a college kid I scraped and saved and put a Sport Orange TDF on layaway and finally paid it out. Out the door with layaway charges and tax it cost me a whopping $300.00 from Mike Hall's Bike Mart in Dallas. Funny how you remember things like that. Stupidly I let it get away in a car trade and today I'd rather have the bike than the car but that's a story for another time.
The point being that the TDF that I had had a Royal Asport sticker on the headtube. By the way what does Royal Asport mean in connection with the Gitane TDF???
Anyway, here is the link to the add and the picts (OK it's mine I found it first so hands off if it's a good one). LOL. I've messaged him for a reply but haven't heard back so it may be gone but in the event that it is not can you guys help with the ident.
