I purchased this from a guy, who purchased it from a guy in france claiming it was a gitane.
It is in rough shape and id like to restore/repaint it, so im trying to find out any information possible about the year and paint scheme/decals/groupo/tubing for it. It takes a 650c front wheel, 700c rear and a 26.8 seatpost.
I have found another one for sale earlier in the year on french ebay but it doesnt have decals either. the colour of the one listed on ebay are more true to life also, my photos are a bit dodgy.

This is the only other gitane pursuit track frame i have seen. It looks similar to a mach 310 in the 94 catalogue. Has anybody seen these frames before? It has the number 4 written on the bottom bracket with a hole drilled out, a barely readable serial number stamped really lightly on the inside of the right chainstay and campy dropouts front and rear.
Any help/info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi and welcome
That looks like a nice little pursuit frame. Sorry I can help with a positive ID, but it looks very much like the early 90s road TT frames.
I look forward to seeing the restoration.
If you ever decide to part with it, let me know. I'm in Bris. |
