I had a frame I was contemplating painting a few years back and really like the metallic blue. I had a body shop with some leftover metallic blue from a Subaru WRX they repaired that would have looked nice. Lighter shades of blue can be had with the colors from Ford and GM trucks in the early to mid-90's. That's assuming you have a shop paint it.

whats interesting is the brazing everywhere even in areas where it looks like it just dripped about like on the bottom bracket.

I think I would secretly take it to a frame builder for a little clean-up since the paint is already off. Someone could move some bronze around, wick a little of the excess away and give it a good grit-blast. Having gaps under the lug points is a bummer though I didn't see any of that.

You don't want to file or sand it off yourself. Those are some really pretty photographs BTW.

I had to fill a dime sized hole in the top of the lug on this 1900 Nashua. It was packed with coal slag and painted over at the factory.
