I've tried searching with no luck at all so I'll ask. I have a 1984 Team Pro with a few nicks in the blue paint and a few messed up decals. Is there someone who sells touch up paint?
The Gitane stickers look ok but not perfect. The seat tube Columbus decal and top tube Stronglight decal are really bad. Can I get new ones somewhere?
This seems to be the correct Columbus decal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Greg Softly (Cyclomondo) has some French Columbus stickers. He doesn't list them so you will have to email him with your request.

Testors has a blue that's close. You can find it at hobby shops.
Also, you can take your frame to an auto parts store that sells touch up paint and see if you can find a close match.
When doing touch up, you're just trying to camouflage the scratches not repaint the whole bike to concours condition.
Less is better.
All you want to do is pass the 10 foot test. Not many people will notice the "worts" beyond 5 feet. |

Thanks Chas,
I won't get carried away with the paint. I just need to repaint the race number tab and a little spot under the bottom bracket. You'd have to be looking pretty hard to spot those areas. You can see them in my gallery posting.
Thanks for the decal lead as well!
John
PS Found a reasonably good match at the auto parts store. They were missing a few blues so i settled for Dupli-Color NG CC 422 Intense Blue Pearl PB3 Chrysler. It looks pretty good in the semi hidden spots I needed to paint.
At the hobby store, they warned me that Testors paints don't have UV protection and tend to fade quickly.
