Early 70's Gitane Track Standard, .
61x58 c-c. 100mm front 120mm rear hub spacings.
I just have too much stuff. All my youth I wanted one of these, but its just too far down the priority list for me to get to. This is a nice steep short wheelbase frame with Bocama lugs.
Just like all Gitanes, its (factory) drilled for a front brake. Headset & bottom bracket included.

Gitane measured frames from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube.
So your "61cm" frame is actually a 62cm.
We used to sell Track Standard bikes for $69.00 back in the 1970's.
I've never seen one larger than 60cm. |
