If you could purchase a vintage jersey in wool, which version would it be? No jerseys beyond 1977 are included because Lycra became so widespread by that time and they are available in Lycra repros already.

We need a lot more votes to come to a consensus !! I would sincerely like to get a jersey made and now have at least three people where I live interested. Keep voting and perhaps we could gave our own Gitane-USA wool jersey! 
Perhaps the '64 St. Raphael/Gitane - the last year Jaque Anquetil won the TdF? Seen here battling Raymond Poulidor on the Puy de Dome after drinking champagne to settle his stomach troubles from the large feast of roast lamb from the previous day:
With St. Raphael/Gitane in '63 he won the TdF and the Vuelta, then in '64 won the TdF and the Giro. Just sayin'...
Or '66 Ford/France/Gitane Jaques Anquetil?
He only got third in the Giro that year and did not finish the TdF  |
