Some of it's market limitations and some is family budget limitations. I completely enjoy the two I have and ride them quite a bit - The TdF gets at least one 100 mile ride each year and the Sprint was my winter bike. Not to say I don't keep my eye out but I think I officially have Gitane withdrawal symptoms. The nice ones I see are never my size - oh well, I'll live vicariously through all of you. Are your market areas dry for mid to upper level Gitane bikes? I'm taking a break from buying gitanes for right now . seen some cool stuff too . a castelli skin suit went for like 150 bucks . that was way cool . concentrating on getting all mine fully rideable. A little tall, though and I'm trying to limit the tall bikes I have right now. Just finished a fixie project on a Univega. The Gitane track bike I have my eye on is an '84 that LBS owner has but he doesn't want to sell it yet.
