I am looking for a Simplex rear derailleur mounting bolt - it is the style with the little flats on the shaft at the end and has another allen bolt that threads into it from the back side. It is for the SX630. It is very close to the Criterium (1971) bolt but slightly larger in diameter. The Criterium bolt will fit in the SX630 loosely, but the SX630 will not fit the Criterium at all. Will buy or trade. |

Your problem was common with certain models on Simplex rear derailleurs.
Simplex used different pivot bolts for a number of their models. The diameters and lengths were the differences.
There was someone in Italy selling replacement bolts on eBay but they are no longer listed.
I've been able to fix the pivot bolts with a tapered punch by spreading the "lips" where the mounting screw goes in. I also use a very small amount of Loctite bearing mount between the bolt and the plate.
