| I have a light blue Gitane Tour de France from the mid 1970's. There is light rust over the majority of the frame and most of the stickers are badly damaged or peeling off. I plan on stripping all the paint from the frame, sanding it lightly, applying ospho to stop the rust, applying a primer, a fresh coat of paint, maybe some decals, and maybe a clear coat. Does anybody have any advice? What paint, primer, and clear coat should I use? Where should I get it? How much can I expect to pay? Is it going to be possible to come close to matching the original color? |
