Poulidor is always the eternal 2d in the popular culture but he finished 3 times second only (jan ullrich, anyone?) and...5 times 3rd, as stated on this poster ! All that never wearing the yellow jersey !!!
He won the vuelta, though.

Yes, Ullrich had one 1st, five 2nd and one 3rd place Tours but Pou-Pou had more Podium appearances than Ullrich 8 vs. 7.

I've been trying to figure out what race and year this picture was taken. If this was the TdF then it was taken in 1975 because that was the only year Francesco Moser rode in the Tour.
Lucien Van Impe was riding for the Gitane-Campagnolo team and finished 3rd plus won King of the Mountain in the 1975 TdF.
