Father forgive me for I have sinned.... I've gone to the Dark Side. 
Last Friday I stopped by a local bike "junk yard" to look for a seatpost and some other odds and ends for my late 60s TdF.
They had this 1967 Peugeot PX-10 "barn bike" with 2 sets of wheels - sewups and clinchers. It's all original except for the tires. 
On a whim I asked them "How much"? I whipped out my wallet before the fellow changed his mind.
Back in the day we were never impressed with Peugeots and looked down our noses at them compared to Gitanes.
Well, at least I have all the parts I need to put together another Gitane TdF if I run across a nice pre 1970s frame.
