I have just seen this very nice frame on Ebay.

It looks like a 1988 model with identical stickers to the Replica, but it's not a Replica. It also shows the stickers in the same style as the Replica in the US catalogue for 1988,

I'm not sure of the model. Any ideas? Is 1988 a fair guess or could it be 1989?

This is a lugless frame. It has an inexpensive stamped steel fork crown and swagged tops on the seat stays. Even though it has forged dropouts and braze-ons for the shift levers it's probably a mid price range model with team colors. Raleigh offered a number of different lower priced models in team colors too.

Thanks. It will be interesting to see how much it finally goes for. The bidding is pretty keen.

I have seen the Raleighs and other manufacturers' team colour frames and bikes, and it is interesting to see one with forged dropouts.
