Tim,
I recieved full size photos from the Seller. It appears to be a 1984 GranSport with, for unknown reason, a Chrome fork. Shimano "Golden Arrow" Derailleurs, Sugino "Super Maxy" crankset, Weinmann 500 brakes, and 700c wheels with Panaracer " Stradius Sport" tires (GBP 30.00/pair here in the States). 102 Aerolite frame.
Worthy of a small investment I would say.

... a European Hybrid (?). Interesting...I noticed it has braze-on down tube shifters...the '84 USA catalog shows stem shifters on the GranSport. Is the plot thickening? Just what do the French put in their Wine? Maybe this is a GranClub or an InterSport...or...a SportyTourdeClub...geeezzzzzzzzzz.

Thanks for the updates. It is a nice machine and well presented. I'll keep an eye on it but if you're keen you should place a bid. I may not as I have other potentials that I'm looking at.
I really like the Weinmann 500 brakes. They're incredibly light, have a short reach and work very well indeed. They were always a favourite of time triallists and were, in my opinion, the unsung hero of the brake world. On top of all that, they were cheap. A rare combination. They gave super performance when used with good quality pads. That reminds me, I need a pair and that bike has them.
