hi, i have a Gitane Model Vitus Depose, i dont know what year is it made. is there a way to know the year model. it all so have numbers under the frame which i assume the Serial number. and another below it with numbers and letters like: 7F V871.... can anybody help me? is there a website where i can verify the year model of the bike.

You found the website and the forum where you can get information about your Gitane. This is it!
You will need to snap a picture of your bike. You described the tubing, not the model name (Vitus). Post a few good pictures, and you will get more information than perhaps you wanted! |

| if its a vitus gitane the first year i seen em show up was 87 i believe. its on the catalog cover. |
